Embroidery is the process of stitching a design onto a garment or fabric using different coloured threads. A digital file is created (a process called digitising) that tells a machine how and where to put each stitch.

The digital file  which contains instructions on how the machines should stitch out your design, is sent to the machines, and our expert team of machine minders will select the relevant file for the order.

 Embroidered logos generally use between 5,000 - 15,000 stitches to create your design. Sometimes the very intricate or large designs will have a bigger stitch count. The number of stitches, number of thread colour changes involved, and the detail of the design will determine the length of time it takes to produce the design, and this is what informs the cost of the digitising set up fee and contributes to the cost per item for decoration..

If you have different artwork/logos you'd like embroidered in the one order, it will require a set up for each artwork/logo.

We use top quality, professional grade Polyneon Madeira threads, which have extreme washing resistance to chlorine and bleack and can withstand frequent, heavy duty industrial laundering.

 

No substances of animal origin are used in the production of Madeira's Polyneon embroidery threads.

 

For the most popular thread colours we have chosen to switch over to the Polyneon Green range- made of 100% recycled post-consumer PET bottles. Bottles made from PET can be recycled and used to manufacture new bottles, packaging or in the case fibres to produce the Polyneon green thread that we use.

 

Created in response to the global demand to reduce plastic bottles, with Polyneon green, we are reducing the amount of plastic in the environment and making the textile industry more sustainable.
